Sergio Salazar

Composer and researcher focused on the use of technology and interdisciplinary approaches in creative processes and musical analysis. He develops works for solo and ensemble, acousmatic, live electronics, and multimodal formats, including audiovisual installations. His artistic practice explores the relationship between sound, space, and perception, seeking to create immersive environments that alter and expand the act of listening. His work focuses on the exploration of timbre, the use of new technologies, and the deformation of sonic materials, as if they were dissolving. He manipulates acoustic and electronic sources through processes of transformation, layering, and spatialization, generating evolving textures in which sound material continuously shifts, merges, and interacts with the surrounding space.
