His music has been presented in international contemporary music festivals and concert series, including the International Expresiones Contemporáneas Festival of Contemporary Music in Puebla, Mexico (2024), the IV Atemporánea Festival of Contemporary Music in Argentina (2023), the Cinco Cinco Cinco Contemporary Music Concert at the Center for the Arts in Monterrey, Mexico (2022), and a premiere at the Casa de la Paz Theater in Mexico City (2022). His recent and upcoming projects include participation in the LEAM Laboratory of Acoustic Ecology in Mexico (2025), a new string quartet to be performed by Unison Chamber Music in the United States (2026), a recording project with La Chile Big Band in Santiago de Chile (2026) featuring original works for jazz orchestra with Latin American influences, and a new electroacoustic work to be presented at the International Expresiones Contemporáneas Festival (2026).

Sound Design & Multimedia
As a sound designer and composer, Sergio Salazar explores the possibilities of sound and movement through mixed-media projects that combine rich textures, distinctive timbres, and spatial dynamics, creating immersive sound environments where sound, image, and motion interact through the use of sensors, electronic devices, and acoustic instruments. In addition to his work in contemporary and experimental music, he also works as an arranger and producer for popular music projects, sound production, and artistic direction for albums and songs. His work integrates both analog and digital technologies, including Roland synthesizers, Ableton Push 3, Focusrite interfaces, Korg Monologue, and a wide range of acoustic instruments from different musical traditions around the world.
